About Me

Hi there! My name is Andrew and my brother is on the Autism spectrum. Our family has been deeply impacted by Autism and I started this blog to show kind of what it's like to live with Autism, and how normal (or insane) the family life can be. I hope you enjoy my blog!

Some things about me. I'm 16 years old, I am a band student in the frontline (the line of instruments at the front of the field that don't march. Examples are xylophone, marimba [wooden xylophone], vibraphone [metal xylophone], etc.) as a section leader, I've been involved in music since I was about 7 years old, I like making movies, playing video games, and playing with my little brother and sister. I am interested in meteorology, music, film/theatre (acting, editing, lights, the whole shebang), and photography.

My brother was diagnosed with Autism around 2008. He is very minor on the spectrum but he sometimes has those days. Since then our family has been greatly involved with our local Autism support group. My mom is on the Board of Directors and I am one of the volunteer photographers for the events.

All in all our life is somewhat normal, but it's nice to be unique in our own way. That's what my blog is for: To explain how unique our family can be.

Again, I hope you enjoy!
